DC Load Center Kit with Lightning Arrester and Thermal Breaker
The KIT is recommended for use in photovoltaic systems for direct current protection. Its main application is in interconnection systems between the solar panel string and the central inverter. The thermal breaker is 800 Vdc at 16 A, 2-pole, intended to protect both the positive and negative of the array.
Recommended use for LA302DC
- Use this voltage spike restrictor before the regulator in your photovoltaic system
- This will prevent damage due to current spikes caused by unexpected electrical discharges
- Silicon Oxide Varistor
- Unlimited number of protections
- Response time 5 nanoseconds
Protection against atmospheric discharges
When an atmospheric discharge occurs, the suppressor will take the damage; if the discharge is direct, of greater intensity than indicated in the technical sheet, and has sufficient accumulated heat and tension, the suppressor will open a hole of approximately one inch at the bottom of the canister and expel hot silicon and plastic fragments, performing its maximum blocking function and protecting the circuit. Install the canister outside the enclosure as shown in the images.
In an interconnection system, the installation is done on the thermal breaker where the modules connect to the inverter, respecting colors and polarities as shown in the image; for microinverters, this can be omitted.
For alternating current, another suppressor (special for alternating current) model LA302R is observed.
